The study was about an analysis of four different types of social services of general interest in 22 EU/EFTA/EEA countries: child-care, social housing, long-term care and employment services. The main objective of the study was to map these services with a particular emphasis on the regulatory environment in which the four types of social services are provided, the main types of service providers for each of the selected social services areas, the relevant quality frameworks applicable to these social services. empirica acted as National Correspondent for Germany for the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (on long-term care services) and the Work Research Centre (WRC) (on ’employment services’).
