By Car

Coming by car, use the route planner below or a navigation system. Our address is Oxfordstr. 2, Bonn.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge, since our offices are located in the city centre. The nearest parking is on Stiftsplatz or in a parking garage (“Stiftsgarage”) located in Kölnstraße 10, right beside the Total petrol station. From both car parks it is only about 50 meters to our offices on the corner of Kölnstraße and Oxfordstraße

The empirica office is in the first block (Oxfordstraße 2), 4th floor.

Please note: Coming to our offices by car requires your car having a green eco label badge displayed at the front window. Otherwise you risk a fine of Euro 80!

By plane

There is a number of airports that are conveniently located to reach empirica.

Closest is Köln-Bonn-Airport (CGN). From there we recommend to either take the bus No. SB60 to Bonn Hauptbahnhof (main station). This takes about 30 min., the fee is 7.90 Euro. The bus schedule is available at the website of Deutsche Bahn (enter from “Köln Flughafen” to “Bonn Hbf”, and the day and time when you will arrive). Then follow directions from the main station to our offices, as described below. Alternatively, a taxi from the airport to empirica costs about 40 Euro.

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is the second closest airport in terms of travel time (not distance) from there to our offices. From FRA we recommend that you take the ICE high-speed to “Siegburg/Bonn” and continue with the tram No. 66 to “Bertha–von–Suttner–Platz”. The tram goes only in one direction from Siegburg, so you can take any. The stop “Bertha–von–Suttner–Platz” is only 2 minutes from our offices in Oxfordstr. 2. You can also take a direct train to Bonn Hbf, which is cheaper but will take longer. See the website of Deutsche Bahn for schedule information. Unfortunately, Frankfurt Hahn airport (HHN) is located quite inconveniently to reach Bonn. The only option is to take a rental car from the airport. Calculate with a travel time of more than 1.5 hours.

The third airport is Düsseldorf International (DUS), from where you best take a (regional) train to Bonn Hauptbahnhof (via Cologne, about 50 min.). Getting to and from the airport can become difficult during late hours.

By train / from Bonn central station

Arriving at Bonn Hauptbahnhof (central station), you can either …

1. Take a taxi (about 5 minutes) to Oxfordstr. 2.

2. Walk through the city centre (10–15 min.). Take the main exit of the main station, cross the street and keep walking straight ahead along Poststraße (McDonalds to your right, then Karstadt department store to your left) to Münsterplatz (square with church, post office and Beethoven statue). Cross the square to the right and continue between the Kaufhof shopping mall and Sinn Leffers fashion shop into Remigiusstraße. Follow until Marktplatz (market square) with the old town hall. Cross it on the left side and walk into Bonngasse which leads into Oxfordstraße. Just cross Oxfordstraße and you are at the right block (Oxfordstraße 2). On the groundfloor of the building is a Bang & Olufsen store.

3. Take the tram: Take tram No. 62 (direction “Oberkassel”), 3 stops, or Underground No. 66, 2 stops exit at Bertha–von–Suttner–Platz and walk towards the “Oxfordhaus” located on the corner Kölnstraße / Oxfordstraße. On the groundfloor of the building is a Bang & Olufsen store.
